Deb Sussex is a professional photographer, living here in Ely, Minnesota. After getting a degree in anthropolgy, Deb traveled the globe as an outdoor educator. From the Yukon to Patagonia, she immersed herself in these foreign cultures and at the same time, began her photographic journey. Twenty years later, Deb is still shooting photos, primarily of the Boundary Waters & Quetico areas. It's easy to see why people love her images....there is usually a lone canoer or kayaker paddling on one of our wonderous lakes, which could be any of us. Her photos evoke the beauty of this great area...from glistening waters to incredible sunsets, she is able to "capture the moment".
