This Loon Call is the perfect gift, for loon lovers everywhere. Made here in Minnesota, these loon calls replicate the calls you hear in the wild. An art piece in itself, these calls were created and made by an ex-taxidermist who studied the physical shape and anatomy of loons, eventually coming up with a design which is fit with a reed placed exactly where the larynx of a real loon would be. This allows just the right amount of air to flow through, reaching the tip of the bill and making 'the call'. Each loon is made of a urethane based resin, hand-poured into a custom mold, and then hand-painted to replicate the iridescent colors of the loon.
