Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with our products and services.  If any of our products fail to meet your expectations simply return them within 30 days in new and unused condition.  We will gladly process an exchange or refund. 

Standard Return Policy: Full refund (excluding shipping costs) available for products returned within 30 days of delivery, in new/unused condition.  Items returned outside of the 30-day window, will be issued store credit. 

  • Products must be in new, unused, clean condition and in the original packaging.
  • Fill out the Return Form and send with the package. RETURN FORM HERE
  • Sale and used gear items are final – no return or exchanges.
  • Returns are processed within 5-7 business days.
  • Piragis reserves the right to refuse any returned items that are in unsalable condition.It will be the customer’s responsibility to cover shipping costs.

Exchanges: We understand that sometimes the shoe just doesn’t fit.  We want to help make sure it does so we will happily share the cost of shipping with you on your exchanges of new unused products.  If your originally delivered product is being exchanged due to defects upon delivery, we’ll take care of all the shipping on your exchange (see defective and warranty returns).

  • Products must be in new, unused, clean condition and in the original packaging.
  • Fill out the Return Form and send with the package.Return form must include valid payment information for the billing of shipping costs when using our discounted return label. You will only be charged for the exact amount of the discounted return label.Exchanges without payment information will be processed as returns and will be reimbursed for the product less the cost of return shipping and no exchange product will be shipped.
  • Exchanges are processed within 5-7 business days.You will be contacted within this time if the exchange is not immediately available.

Request Discounted Return Label: Customers are responsible for the shipping costs on returned items.  Piragis has partnered with FedEx to offer discounted shipping labels for your convenience.  The shipping costs will be deducted from your return.  Click here to retrieve a return label.  

Defective and Warranty Returns:  To submit a claim, please contact our customer service team at 1-800-223-6565 or orders@piragis.com.  Include the following information:

  • Order Confirmation Number
  • Nature of the problem
  • Photos of the damage (if applicable)

It may take 7-10 business days to process claims.  Upon approval, a pre-paid return label will be provided for you.

Axe care and re-handling: Proper axe care is necessary in maintaining the quality and integrity of your tool.  Tools that have not been properly maintained and used will not fall under warranty guidelines.  Before using your axe, be sure to carefully read through the user manual for use, care, and storage instructions.  Broken handles do not fall under warranty.  It is the owner’s responsibility to re-handle their axe.  There are many instructional videos available online to assist in this procedure.  To purchase a replacement handle, see our Tools webpage

As long-time minimum impact campers, we at Piragis Northwoods Company are used to considering our effects on the environment and are striving for “minimum impact mail order.”  We avoid purchasing new packing material, therefore re-use what we are sent, including what we collect from local Ely citizens and businesses.  We also try to select products whose manufacturers are environmentally responsible, as well.  We contribute to local charities and environmental groups on an ongoing basis.
