Hardware rusts This cart works well for a 17 foot kevlar canoe. Makes it easy to get up and down steep tidal beaches. I used waterproof spray foam to precisely fit it to my hull shape-it was too big and flopped around, and would not track until I did this. I wish I had spent some time doing this first. It is not corrosion resistant completely. The pins that hold the wheels are not stainless, but plated, and have started to corrode after only one 15 day saltwater trip. The 6 screws in each hub likewise-they are completely rusted. as they are not even plated.These rusty bits prevent a 5 star rating. It fits efficiently in the load.with the wheels detached and stowed separately. The wheels are flat in cross section and relatively small diameter, but still work well. The cradle and axle are the bulkiest part. If the maker improved the cradle to make it fit a range of hull shapes better, and up front, and if thye replaced the 12 hub screws and axle pins with stainless, this would be a 5 star item. I will replace these things myself with stainless versions before next use.
